The initiative consists of a thematic market that will move visitors to a time of privateers, buccaneers and filibusters that is part of the history of the locality, where booties, taverns, fights, boats and treasures are the primordial elements. It is an attractive more for the set of beaches of the town ‘pilareño’, as well as for tourism and trade in it.

The event represents centuries of pirate expeditions and adventures at sea in order to revive a fun time of stories and popular imagination that fits perfectly with the pirate attacks that took place in Torre de la Horadada. The route will be formed by fifty stops of which forty will be points of crafts and ten of feeding and restoration. The entire route will be decorated with music and decorated with nets, flags, shells and other maritime elements. In addition, visitors can enjoy participatory workshops for all ages such as coin minting, decoration of shells and the preparation of manuscripts, as well as a pirate boat, games, playroom, demonstrations of old trades and much more.

The Route of the Corsairs, organized by the Councils of Commerce and Festivities of the Town Hall of Pilar de la Horadada, led by Pilar Mª Samper and Alfonso Armenteros, will take place on the promenade of La Torre de la Horadada from July 22 to 26 and from August 5 to 9. Likewise, it will take place on the Mil Palmeras promenade from July 29 to August 2 and from August 12 to 16.
