The Arenal Sound is living its best moments yet. The musical event in Burriana has gathered more than 60,000 people per day, despite having increased its surface by 10,000 square meters.
On Friday, they surrendered to the “perreo” of the Colombian Karol G and were seduced by the charisma of the tinerfeño Maikel Delacalle and by the herreño, Don Patricio. Friday’s repertoire has exceeded all the expectations in a pop ode.
Pignoise razed to the stage. The group that started its journey in 2002 and is about to come of age managed to unleash the euphoria of the attendees with topics such as “Nada que perder”, “Te entiendo” and “Estoy enfermo”.
With David Rees and The Girl and the Piano, they remembered songs by The Cranberries, Maldita Nerea, Ivan Ferreiro, Baby, Vetusta Morla, Supersubmarina, Calvin Harris, Scissor Sisters, Russian Red, Two Door Cinema Club, The Sticker, Love of Lesbian, Kaiser Chiefs, The Kooks, Lori Meyers, Dorian, Steve Aoki, The Fratellis, Izal, Biffy Clyro, Bastille, Azealia Banks, Mika, Rudimental, Fangoria, Amaral, Carlos Sadness, Martin Garrix or Jess Glyne, among many others.
The timeless Fangoria was another of the stars that shone in the burrianan night, the main stage of the venue was crowded to hear yesterday’s and today’s greatest hits from Alaska, with some allusions to Sara Montiel and OBK collected in her album “Extrapolaciones y dos preguntas 1989-2000” to several generations to sing in unison “A quien le importa”.
Her partner Mario Vaquerizo followed her with Nancys Rubias on another stage with his “firecracker” pop music willing to cheer the attendants with humor and make it more bearable to wait until the desired Martin Garrix, the main dish of the night and, for most, the biggest claim of the tenth anniversary.
It was not surprising as, the Dutch DJ, chosen for the third consecutive year as the number one in the world by the magazine DJ Mag, made thousands of young people wait in the campsite until late in the morning to go exclusively to the concert hall for Garrix’s performance.
Also, on Friday was the turn of King Jedet, who reaped a good handful of fans at the Beach Club to whom she desired for “their ears not to bleed” after hearing her sing. That is, after being 20 minutes late and leaving the stage during this time to her dancers and DJ’s who were commissioned to cheer up the public.
