Peñíscola has hosted this past weekend a special anniversary attended by guests from the provinces of Barcelona,Tarragona, Teruel, Valencia and Albacete, as well as the protagonists of the event, the Instagrammers of the province of Castellón. The Communication area of the tourist destination has collaborated in the organization of this meeting “as part of our strategy to promote Peñíscola and its tourist attractions in social media” explained the councilor of the area of Tourism in the consistory, Rafael Suescun. Specifically, among the participants in the event, we found profiles that exceed 73,000 followers, such as @david_gram or the 40,000 followers, as is the case of @pistaxin, @pabloalekoh or @ultraheroi; As well as users of profiles that add more than 800 likes in just a few hours in shared images about Peñíscola and the day, as is the case of @tanosm “that offer the possibility of “viralizar” images of magical places of our tourist destination.” In just a few hours, 300 publications have been generated on the day.The hashtags that include # Peñíscola count on Instagram with 50,000 mentions, a figure that the Tourism area values very positively.
With this hashtag, the city council of the locality, is undertaking different actions of promotion in media and social networks. In order to promote the new tourism product associated to the shootings that have hosted the locality, in addition to making a media plan, this type of actions has been included in the marketing plan of the destination. So far this year, Peñíscola has hosted two blogtrips, one of them specialized in travel bloggers in collaboration with the recently constituted group of the Comunitat Valenciana and the publication Descubre Castellón.
