Costa Blanca promotes its tourism offer in Portugal due to the new Lisbon-Alicante air route that will have an economic impact of 9.1 million euros

More than 40 Portuguese travel agents, tour operators and travel bloggers participated this morning in Lisbon in the workshop session promoted by the Provincial Tourist Board and the Alicante City Council. The aim of this activity was to publicize and promote in the neighborhood country the tourist offer of the Costa Blanca on the occasion of the start-up, from June 10th, of the new Lisbon-Alicante air route by the TAP Airline, who has also attended this working meeting.
The vice president and deputy of Tourism Promotion, Eduardo Dolón, highlighted after the meeting, which has been supported by the Spanish Tourism Office in Portugal, that this new connection, with daily frequency and an offer of 26,000 seats from June to December , will generate an economic impact in the province of 9.1 million euros in 2017.

During the workshop there was a presentation of the destination of both the province and the city of Alicante, in the latter case by its tourism councilor, Eva Montesinos. The Costa Blanca Board has also launched a contest aimed at those attending this work meeting whose prize is a trip to Alicante to enjoy next June of the festivities of the Bonfires of San Juan.
And this meeting is also part of the operation 'Lisbocante' organized by the Diputación and the Alicante City Council together with the Federation of the Fogueres de Sant Joan and which is being held in the Portuguese country these days in order to spread the cultural and festive richness of this celebration. This proposal includes several actions of street marketing as stop or "plant" of the eight meters bonfire that from yesterday it appears in the center of the town, in Praça Dom Pedro IV, point in which has also been enabled a temporary Tourism Office to inform passers-by about this and other popular celebrations of the province.
