FITUR is the global meeting point for tourism professionals and the leading fair for receptive and issuing markets in Latin America.
In the 2017 edition FITUR has beaten participation record with 9,893 exhibiting companies from 165 countries / regions, 135,838 professional participants and 109,134 visitors from the general public. It should be noted an increase of 18.8% of international professional visitors compared to the previous edition.
Also, the volume of business appointments that have been scheduled and managed in FITUR, in its different B2B, has increased to reach 6,800 appointments.
The presence of 7,542 journalists also evidences the expectation generated by FITUR in the international circuit of fairs in the sector.
The Tourism Board of Valencia attends Fitur, from January 17 to 21, with the new “claim”: Why V?
Why VALENCIA? Why go to Valencia?
Because the most distinctive of our tourist offer is our way of living, that of Valencians, and of living in our territory. It is “easy living”, our main attraction and guarantee of excellence for the visitor (which is linked to gastronomy, climate and landscape).
The stand of ‘València Turisme’ will be in Hall 7 (7A2) within the space of the Valencian Community and will have the participation of 25 localities and a commonwealth: Alboraia, El Puig de Santa Maria, Tavernes de la Valldigna, Puçol, Sueca, Xeraco , Oliva, Canet d’en Berenguer, Cullera, Gandia, Sagunt, Algemesí, Alzira, Ayora, Llíria, Manises, Ontinyent, Paterna, Requena, Utiel, Xàtiva, Riba-roja de Túria, Bétera, Buñol, Cofrentes and the Commonwealth of the ‘Vall d’Albaida’.
The stand will have several areas:
- A PRODUCT AREA (Urban / cultural / Unesco tourism, Rural Mediterranean, Gastronomy and Wine tourism, Health / Accessible tourism, Sports tourism and Holiday and family tourism).
- A SHOWCOOKING AREA for gastronomic demonstrations.
- The CENTRAL SQUARE to perform folkloric and representative performances of our towns and counties.
